The Customs Area Controller in charge of Seme Area command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Deputy Comptroller, Chedi Dalha Wada, has said that the command would ensure strict enforcement of the government fiscal policies on used vehicles to enhance economic growth and development.
In a statement signed recently by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Hussaini Adbullahi, the acting CAC made the disclosure when he formally took over leadership of the command from the immediate past CAC, Comptroller Mohammed Uba.
He stressed that the command would work in tandem with the vision of the Comptroller General of Customs, Ali Hammed to achieve the maximum revenue collection for government, suppression of smuggling to the barest minimum and trade facilitation following international best practices.
DC Wada pledged to consolidate and improve on the feats of his predecessor in order to ensure effective service delivery at all times.
“We must work tirelessly to carry out the core mandates of the service. We need the support and corporation of all men of the command in our daily activities. We still ensure effective collaboration with the stakeholders, as well as other sister agencies”
In his farewell speech, Compt Uba advised DC Wada to remain firm and resolute in decision making so as to effectively discharge his duties.
