The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) over the weekend said 108 ships would berth in Lagos ports between September 6 and 29.
According an NPA document made available in Lagos, 39 of the ships were laden with containers
It indicated that 23 other ships were laden with new and used vehicles, while eight were carrying Kerosene.
The document said six other ships were coming with wheat, another six with fresh fish, four with base oil and three laden with general cargoes.
It said that the other ships were laden with rice, bulk maize, ethanol and diesel.
The document indicated that the ships were being expected at the following terminals: Josepdam Terminal, ENL Consulting Ltd, Greenview Development Nigeria Ltd., AP Moller Terminal and Apapa Bulk Terminal Ltd.
The other terminals are Tin-Can Island Container Terminal, Five Star Logistics Terminal, Ports and Terminal Multi-Services Ltd and Ports and Cargo Terminal.
The document also reported that nine ships, laden with rice, fish and fertiliser, were waiting to berth at the ports.
