On Thursday July 26th 2012, in Lagos there will be an official launching of a book to serve as guide to patrons of brand new vehicles in the country.
The book which will serve as directory to the automobile industry, consist of corporate profiles of main automobile distribution companies in the country, with emphasis on their mission and corporate contacts terms, physical address nationwide, telephone numbers, e-mail address ,website and other relevant information.

The book which will serve as directory to the automobile industry, consist of corporate profiles of main automobile distribution companies in the country, with emphasis on their mission and corporate contacts terms, physical address nationwide, telephone numbers, e-mail address ,website and other relevant information.
The handbook, Shipping Position Daily gathered also contains personality profile of some of the brains behind the auto industry in Nigeria as well as profile of some government officials who are connected to the automobile industry.
However stakeholders in the transport and automobile industry have already welcomed the development, expressing hope that it will help those outside the sector to know the ……serious players.
According to Samuel Onyinye the Training Engineer, Tata Motors said that the industry has been yearning for such initiative that will sell the image of new vehicles that are imported to the country adding that it create a platform foreigners to know about more auto dealers and to get more facts.
He said that it will make the industry competitive among manufactures and to those want to know more about the automobile and transport sector.
He added that the some of the government agencies in the country will also benefit from the initiative stressing that it has been long overdue.
In his reaction, Managing Director, Mickey Motors Limited, Bernard Tobichukwu said that the book will create awareness for the sector global.
According to him, the automobile industry in Nigeria is a bit silence but with the introduction of the hand book Nigeria will be better informed.
He told Shipping Position Daily last week that government should also key into the development and also to encourage the sector.
‘’We are happy with the development and I believe with the handbook in place will give the sector a voice and I want the government to encourage the automobile sector so that some this company can assemble vehicles in the country not for them to only import’’.
‘’With the new initiative Nigeria automobile, government will raise up to the occasion to find ensure that the country manufactures vehicles in the country’’, he added
However, Managing Director BKG, Exhibition, and Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Agwu said that the Nigeria automobile guide is the missing link between Nigeria and the auto world.
‘’The Nigeria auto guide is the missing link to our people in the auto world now that it is found I think the should laud the appreciation it.
