The National Association of Air Freight Forwarding and Consolidators ( NAFFAC ) has called for cooperation in the freight forwarding sector to enable practitioners achieve desires goals.
The newly-inaugurated President of the association, Mr. Yinka Bakare, gave this advice at the week end in Lagos at the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected national and chapter executives.
He maintained that no association will exist and work perfectly without the assistance of other associations.
"There is no profession that will exist without the assistance of other professions and there is no industry; no matter how big the industry is, that will move forward without the logistics sector. If the five registered associations can come together and fight this incidence of foreigners coming to take our jobs, I am very sure that within a very short time we will win the fight. All the five associations now have young men as their national president which makes it easier for them to move forward”, he noted.
“Please this is the time to move freight forwarding profession forward , this is the time to register our importance and this is the time to at the world know what we are up to. We will achieve a lot if we are together", he appealed.
He also reiterated the importance of freight forwarders, saying that without freight forwarders the world cannot move around.
" NAFFAC has been in existence for a very long time and a whole lot have been achieved. It is one of the registered associations by CRFFN that is well recognized, we occupy the 3rd position at the council.
"This is the heart beat of every economy, we are the trade facilitators, the world keep moving every second, this is the profession that moves the world around. Without this profession the world is at a standstill, the earlier we understand this, the better for us to move this freight forwarding practitioners forward and make them the envy of others " , he concluded.
