An Apapa magistrate court has arraigned a 38 year old man; Osita Nwakwesili, for stealing a truck injector at Ajegunle in Apapa area of Lagos.
According to the Prosecutor, Inspector Fredrick, the accused committed the offence on September 17,2018 at No 95 Mba Street Ajegunle.
He said that the accused stole truck injector valued at N240, 000, beer value at N120, 000 and cash of N66, 000, belonging to one Jamiu Lawal.
Inspector Fredrick added that the offence is punishable under section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.
“That you Osita on the 17th day of September 2018 at the aforementioned magisterial district, did steal a truck injector, valued at N240 000, beer valued at N120, 000 and a cash sum of N66, 000 all properties of one Jamiu Lawal and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 287 ofg the criminal law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015”, he said.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Magistrate also added that one of the sureties must be a blood relation with proof of the relationship. They must furnish the court with evidence of tax payment to Lagos state.
The case was adjourned till 8th of November 2018.
