ANLCA Endorses Ekweozor In NAGAFF Tin Can Chapter Chairmanship Election   

Few weeks to the election into chapters of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF,) the Tin Can chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Custom Agents (ANLCA) has endorsed Tin Can chapter chairmanship aspirant; Chief Azubuike Ekweozor.The ANLCA gave the endorsement recently during the campaign rally of Chief Ekweozor at Tin Can, Lagos state.

The Tin Can chapter chairman of ANLCA, Chief Segun Odutan, while speaking to newsmen, said  the aspirants who is seeking a second term, will have the opportunity to complete the assignment he has started.

He reassured members of NAGAFF that things will get better if Ekweozor is re-elected into office.

"We are not saying that we are looking for a third term, all we are saying is that a second term is always the best to complete an assignment.

And I will employ the people of NAGAFF, we have been doing it before and we will continue to do it. The peaceful environment that we have now that things are beginning to get better ,that is how it is going to be with us. Let those who are here and the people who are not here go with this information that come the election day, we should all vote for Chief Azubuike Ekweozor"

He also said that it will be easier for peace and development to come to Tin Can chapter is the likes of Ekweozor is re-elected into office.

"It is from there that we can sit down and continue to discuss with one voice and we will be able to achieve a lot for this industry. There is no rancour or fighting, this is not a transport union, it is a professional union that is why we need to continue where we stopped", the ANLCA chairman stressed. 

Also speaking, Chief Ekweozor, restated his commitment to continue to rebrand the chapter if re-elected in the coming election.

He said that when he assumed office as the chapter’s chairman a couple of years ago, the association had no face in the chapter.

"When I was directed to take over the leadership of the Tin Can chapter of the association, things were really very bad. I asked God for wisdom and direction because he is the only person that can give that and he gave me all I asked him", he told the gathering.

He also said that he brought back sanity among members in the chapter.

"And I was able to achieve and come out with good results. I reformed the NAGAFF in Tin Can Island port, I redeemed the face of NAGAFF in the chapter. I was able in my own little way to bring back sanity in the chapter"

He said that due to his deligence and achievements during his first tenure, the headquarters of the association urged him to go for a second tenure.

"After my first tenure, our headquarter was so happy and impressed with my achievements and asked me that I return for the second term. And I accepted to go for the second missionary journey and I went still conquered and I made it".

He promised that his administration will focus more on capacity building if re-elected  into  office adding that members will be subjected to more professional courses on the profession.

"If elected capacity building will be my first priority, l will send more of our members to study professional courses related to clearing and members will be mobilised to attend the necessary conferences in the industry",  he said.
