For allegedly stealing heavy duty truck battery in Apapa, an Apapa magistrates court sitting in Lagos, on Wednesday granted bail to a 32-year old truck driver, Friday Sylvester in the sum of N150, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The Magistrate, A.O Erinle said that the sureties must furnish the court evidence of tax payment of Lagos state government.
He also added that the sureties who must provide a picture of themselves must also provide his bank account statement within the last six months.
The Prosecutor, Sergeant Balogun Adeniyi, who was represented at the court by Inspector Donjor, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on the 12th of March 2019 at Wharf road, Apapa.
He said that the defendant stole two heavy duty battery and five Stanza Trailer tyres.
Balogun, also said that the stolen goods are worth N700, 000.
The Prosecutor said that the goods belong to Amazon Haulage Oil and Gas limited.
Balogun said that the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 281 of criminal laws of Lagos state 2015.
The case was adjourned till 24th April 2019.
