The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) has given guidlines on the resumption of work for it's staff.
In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Council, Hassan Bello on Sunday, he said that the resumption will be phased with Directors, Deputy Directors and Heads of Units to report in the office on Monday, May 4th adding that the resumption date for level 14 and 15 officers will be announced in due cause.
"The resumption is for officers on grade 14 and above but we are phasing the resumption starting with officers of level 16 amd 17 first and subsequently, level 14 and 15"
He however added that the office will operate three times in a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9am till 2pm even as he stressed that the office will be disinfected and decontaminated.
Bello also warned that there shall be complete protocol on social distancing, hygiene and other health guidlines and conducts at work assuring that Medical team and the Human Resource department will monitor complaince on that regards.
The Shippers Council boss urged those who are outside Lagos to stay wherever they are until circumstances become better adding that they should work from home.
"The above is applicable to zonal offices but subject to the rules prescribed by the state government. For example, Kano is in lockdown and so staff are to obey strictly the directive of the state government.
