Shipping Position Daily correspondent who was at the court during the sitting, also observed that the complainant, is a member of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF)
The accused who is a facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, was until the date of her arraignment, a staff of the compliant .
The Prosecutor, Sergent Iyobosa Onaiwu who was represented by Kolade Tedunjaye, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on the 7th of March 2019.
The police said that the accused committed the offence at Warehouse road, Apapa in the Apapa magisterial district.
According to the prosecutor, the accused “did steal the sum of N1, 000, 000 property of one Princess Chi Ezeh"
Onawiu also added that the first charge which is on stealing is an offence under section 411 and is punishable under section 406 while the second offence on stealing is under section 280(b) and is punishable under section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos state 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offences brought against her.
The Magistrate; Mrs. SA Abioye granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two registered sureties.
She added that one of the sureties must be parent to the girl with evidence of three years tax payment to Lagos state government.
The case was adjourned till 1st of April 2019 for mention .
