Clarion Events West Africa; has concluded plans for its annual exhibition; Multimodal West Africa, which holds next week in Lagos.
Speaking at a cocktail on Wednesday in Lagos, President of Chattered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT); Alhaji Ibrahim Jibril, revealed that Multimodal West Africa is a brilliant initiative of Clarion Events as it will further provide support in addition to Government’s effort to revamp the industry. He encouraged everyone to take advantage of the diverse opportunities the event presents.
Also speaking at the event, Ms Jadesola Ogundiminegha, Event Manager, Multimodal West Africa, identified that the event aims to increase port and terminal activities, increase number of non-oil exporters to broaden the nation’s economic base, reduce clearance times, improve intermodal options & facilities at ports to promote patronage, reorient in line with new economic diversification policy, explore dedicated ports for exports and provide more efficient supply chain solutions.
She added that at the second edition of the exhibition, opportunities abound through the exhibition, conferences, and free trainings to build capacity, network and trade.
She also said that the exhibition will host distinguished exhibitors and conference delegates from countries like, Belgium, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Cameroon, Netherlands, United Kingdom, USA and Nigeria, even as she said that the firm is expecting more than 1, 000 cargo owners, shippers, manufacturers and major importers and exporters.
