The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) on Monday announced the demise of one of its staff, Mr. Muniru Yusuf.
In a condolence statement signed by the Head, Public Relations of the council, Mrs. Rakiya Zubairo, a copy of which was sent to Shipping Position Daily, the deceased until he demise in the early hours of Monday, 4th May 2020, was a committed staff and passed on at the age of 52.
She said that as one of the committed drivers in the council, Yusuf died while preparing for work on the said day.
According to her, "A valued and conscioustous staff of the council, Yusuf has been buried and will be solely missed by the wife, Mary Oladunjoye, his five children and colleagues at the Shippers Council"
In his condolence message, the Executive Secretary of the council, Mr. Hassan Bello discribed the late Yusuf as a committed staff.
He added that even though the deceased had a history of Hypertension and Diabetes he was being manager by the council through its clinic.
"He was looking forward to conveying returning staff to work this morning and he had just taken delivery of the new. He suddenly took ill in the early hours of today, slumped and died, it was a sad news"
The ES however added that the council has made proper arrangements to support and console the family through this difficult period.
