2 NIMASA Cadets Graduate With Distinction From Romanian University 

Two of the cadets sponsored by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) under the National Seafarers Development Programme (NSDP) have graduated with distinctions from the Romanian University.The duo of Mr. Eneotu Joseph and Mr. Malagu Joshua who were part of the 2500 students sponsored by NIMASA to the UK, Philippines, Egypt, India and Romania to be trained on specialized maritime courses under the NSDP have graduated with distinctions. Among the 2500 students, 300 of them have been studying in Constanta Maritime University in Romania since 2013. The two scholars were part of the first batch of 167 students that departed from Nigeria in 2013. Eneotu Joseph graduated from the Faculty of Naval Electromechanical Engineering, while Malagu Joshua graduated from the Faculty of Navigation and Water-borne Transport. Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, who was represented at the graduation ceremony by NIMASA’s Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Gambo Ahmed, stated that NIMASA is doing its best to provide sea-time training for the students.
