"More recently, as part of building six new ships for NLNG, we brought creativity to enhance strategic contribution to Nigeria with training of 600 Nigerians.’’
He said that the CIPS education had enabled him to gain deeper insights into the procurement best practices and creation of value.
Omatowa said that the profession had witnessed phenomenal changes, especially in the last 20 years with much technological advancement aided particularly by globalisation, telecommunication, internet, social media and efficient logistics.
He said that issues like climate change, slavery, human trafficking, corruption and inequalities were receiving more attention from the global leaders and change agents.
Mr Tom Tagoe, the Founder and Group Chairman, Harly Reed International, said that the aim was to develop transferable skills in procurement, logistics and finance.
