Offshore supply tug SAAVEDRA TIDE was attacked by pirates on December 4, 2018 at around 1800 UTC in vicinity 03 10N 006 20E, 23 nm west of tug’s destination, EGINA FPSO (IMO 9695896), Egina Oil Field, Bight of Bonny, Nigeria.
It is not known what happened exactly, but it is believed, that pirates managed to board the ship. Later it was said, that the crew and the ship were safe and returned to unnamed port. According to track, the ship docked at Brass Oil Terminal in the morning Dec 5. Hopefully, persons in charge said the truth and crew are safe. No other details available at the moment.
