Even as scarcity of petroleum continues unabated all over the country, no fewer than 22 ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at various oil terminals within the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
This was contained in a the daily publication of the results of berthing meeting of NPA which was made available to newsmen yesterday in Lagos.
The document indicated that 12 ships out of the 22 ships would discharge petrol, four would discharge diesel, while three would discharge aviation fuel.

It also indicated that two ships would discharge kerosene, while one ship would discharge bulk gas.
The document reported that 88 ships carrying different cargoes would sail into the ports between Nov. 26 and Dec. 30.
It said that that 10 of the expected ships would arrive with petroleum products.
The NPA said that 50 ships would arrive with containers of different goods.
The goods are used and old vehicles, rice, fish, containers, bulk salt, bulk sugar, general cargoes, wheat, steel product, base oil, crude palm oil and petroleum products.
