Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi, has appointed Engr (Dr) Anthony Anayo Ishiodu asActingRector,Maritime Academy of Nigeria Oron.
Sources at the academy told this medium on condition of anonymity that Ishiodu received a letter of appointment yesterday from the ministry directing him to oversee the affairs of the academy pending the appointment of a substantive Rector by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ishiodu, who until his appointment was Head of Department for Marine Engineering at the academy has put in over two decades in the service of the academy.
He had served as Chief Lecturer;holds Chief Marine Engineering Certificate, Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping Technology and Mechanical Engineering, MSc Transport Geography, M.Tech Mechanical Engineering with a PhD in Transportation and Industrial Studies.
