The Association Electoral Committee (ASECO) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has announced the timetable for the upcoming Board of Trustees (BoT) elections.
According to a memo dated September 2, 2024, the elections are scheduled to take place on September 12, 2024, across ANLCA’s three zones: West, East, and North.
The official voters’ list for the election includes approximately 680 companies and practicing licenses.
In preparation for the elections, ASECO in a document sighted by our correspondent, outlined several key dates for ANLCA members:
Scheduled for September 9, 2024, is the screening of candidates to ensure all candidates meet the required criteria for running in the BoT elections.
ASECO further stated that it will release the final list of eligible candidates on September 10, 2024
While publication of the final voters list will be made public on September 10th.
The ASECO chairman further stated that members who have concerns or complaints about the election process or the candidates can submit their petitions on September 10, 2024.
The ASECO memo, signed by Chairman Elochukwu Obiora and Secretary Tope Fatimilehin, expressed appreciation for the members’ cooperation and understanding as the association moves towards a successful election process.
