The Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa Area Command, on Friday said it had generated N78.6 billion in the third quarter of the year.
The comptroller of the command, Eporwei Edike, disclosed this in an interview in Lagos.
Edike said N30.5 billion was generated in Sept., N22.7 billion in July and N25.5 billion in August.
He said the revenue profile indicated that there was an increase in the duties on rice importation during the period
The comptroller attributed the increase to market forces and improved cargo clearance procedure.
