The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) under its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, marking the commencement of the final phase of the enlistment process.
In a statement issued on Monday by the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, candidates who participated in the recruitment exercise have been advised to visit the official Nigeria Customs Service website or check selected national newspapers to confirm their recruitment status and obtain information on the next stage of the exercise.
According to the Service, successful candidates will also receive individual notifications through their registered email addresses and Short Message Service (SMS), containing detailed instructions on the documentation and verification process.
The Customs Service disclosed that all successful candidates are expected to log into the recruitment portal using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
It noted that the portal dedicated to the upload of the medical certificates would become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, adding that candidates would have a one-week window from the activation date to complete the exercise.
Beyond the medical documentation, the Service directed successful applicants to update their current state of residence on the recruitment portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the designated “Accept Offer” button.
The statement explained that upon successful completion of these requirements, candidates would subsequently receive their Trainee Identification Numbers within one week, after which additional information on documentation, physical screening, screening venues, dates and other admission requirements would be communicated through official channels.
The Nigeria Customs Service stressed that strict adherence to the stipulated procedures and timelines remains mandatory, warning that failure to comply with any of the outlined requirements could lead to immediate disqualification from the recruitment exercise and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
The Service also urged candidates to rely solely on official communication channels for information relating to the recruitment process in order to avoid falling victim to misinformation or fraudulent activities.
Speaking on behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB), the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated all successful candidates for emerging from the highly competitive recruitment exercise.
He expressed confidence that the new intakes would contribute meaningfully to the Service’s mandate, urging them to prepare for careers anchored on professionalism, integrity and patriotic service to the nation.
The recruitment exercise forms part of the Nigeria Customs Service’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its workforce and enhance operational efficiency as the agency continues to modernise its customs administration, trade facilitation and border security functions across the country.
