A cross section of car dealers in Nigeria have expressed high hopes in the sales of fairly used vehicles in 2016.
The dealers who spoke with Auto Port Weekly last week also disclosed that December sales were quite interesting, because according to them, there was a massive turn out of vehicle buyers.
Mr. Chukwudi Basil said, “we are shocked the way at which buyers came out in December to buy cars at Berger Market”
“It was a very good experience at the tail end of 2015 and I hope 2016 will be better”
“Although in the beginning of last year ,it wasn’t easy for us here at the Berger Market but we are all happy with what we saw at the tail end of the year”
“We will only pray that something better happens this year”, he added.
On his part, Nnamdi Onwuegbulam said despite what was obtainable in 2015, the government needs to do more to encourage car dealers and importers.
He added “there is need for government to put smiles on our faces by working to make sure that used vehicle are patronised in the country because what we see last year was exciting”.
