CRFFN Expresses Commitment To Actualise Council’s Policy

The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has expressed commitment to ensure professionalism in the discharge of its statutory functions.
Mr Mike Jukwe, the registrar and chief executive of the council, stated this in a statement made available yesterday in Abuja.
Jukwe said that the council was mandated to determine who constitute freight forwarders and to regulate and control the activities of registered practitioners.

The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has expressed commitment to ensure professionalism in the discharge of its statutory functions.
Mr Mike Jukwe, the registrar and chief executive of the council, stated this in a statement made available yesterday in Abuja.
Jukwe said that the council was mandated to determine who constitute freight forwarders and to regulate and control the activities of registered practitioners.
He said that the council also had the duty of accrediting associations of freight forwarders to ensure professionalism in the industry.
He said that the council accredited three associations of freight forwarders recently.
They are : Nigerian Association of Air Freight Forwarders and Consolidators, National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) and Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria.
Jukwe said that the registrar charged the three presidents of the associations to live up to their responsibilities in accordance with the principles of the council.
He urged the associations to deliver their duties and services in line with stipulated guideline without fear or favour.
Festus Ejiofor, President of one of the associations who spoke on behalf of the others, expressed their appreciation and pledged to support the council.
Ejiofor urged the council to put in more efforts for the industry to attain greater height.
