President/Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has commended the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) for its effective coordination of the Federal Government’s directive on the domestic sales of crude oil and refined products in Naira. As a show of support for the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) Committee spearheading the implementation, Dangote has donated a brand-new Coaster bus to facilitate its daily operations.
In a letter personally signed by Alhaji Dangote, he described the committee’s work as vital to the economic reforms being pursued by the administration and pledged continued support for the initiative. He stated that the donation reflects Dangote Group’s appreciation of the OSS Committee’s efforts and commitment to national development.
“In recognition of the enormous responsibility placed on the shoulders of the One-Stop-Shop by the President and our commitment to ensuring the committee delivers on its mandate, I am pleased to donate one brand-new Coaster bus to facilitate the daily discharge of their operations,” the letter read.
“We believe this bus will be used productively by the committee as we continue to look for ways to support and appreciate the efforts of this noble initiative,” he added.
The donation follows recent commendations by the Chairman of the Technical Sub-Committee on the policy’s implementation, Zacch Adedeji, who had during a visit to the NPA acknowledged the OSS Team’s efficiency in coordinating the implementation of the presidential directive.
Adedeji, who also serves as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), had praised the team for its pivotal role in executing the policy seamlessly, describing their performance as a demonstration of patriotism and institutional commitment.
“We recognize that this pioneering effort is a significant achievement and no doubt reflects your commitment and patriotism. We encourage you to maintain the hard work and dedication that has made this initiative a success,” he stated, while also extending appreciation to all participating agencies for their cooperation and support.
