Disclosing the commencement of the examination to Shipping Position Daily in Lagos last week, Rector of the school, Mr Chikere Chigozie said that the examination will end on the 14th of April, 2014. According to him, the school will reopen in May.
He also revealed that no fewer than 200 students are expected to take part in the school's pioneer examination for regular students in the three optional shipping management departments. The three departments at EMDEE Shipping and Maritime College are: Shipping Management, International Trade and Finance Management, and Oil and Gas Distribution.
The rector also revealed that “for the resumption in May, we will be thinking on how to organise the matriculation ceremony for the students, but no date has been fixed yet"
