Experts Gear Up for Transport Infrastructure Dialogue as Bamidele, Sanusi, Caulcrick, Others Endorse Summit

Preparations have reached an advanced stage for the maiden edition of the Transport Infrastructure Dialogue, organized by JustAlive Communications Limited, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

With just  a day to the event, anticipation is building among policymakers, operators, regulators, and stakeholders across Nigeria’s transport value chain for what is expected to be a groundbreaking industry summit.

The one-day summit, themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” will be chaired by the Managing Director of Primero Transport Services Limited, operators of the Lagos BRT buses, Mr. Fola Tinubu.

Delivering the keynote address will be former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Professor Bamidele Badejo, an experienced transport scholar and former General Manager, Research, Planning, and Environment (RPE) at the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Lokoja. He will speak on the topic: “The Future of Transportation in Nigeria: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities.”

Prof. Badejo, who also holds the LASG Professorial Chair Endowment on Transport Studies at Lagos State University, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT, London), a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (FNITP), a Registered Town Planner (RTP), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (FCIoTA).

Also billed to make presentations are Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and Dr. Segun Musa, Chairman/CEO of Global Transport Policy (GTP).

The panel session will feature a rich blend of industry professionals, including Capt. Ado Sanusi, Managing Director/CEO of Aero Contractors; Capt. Samuel Caulcrick, former Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; Remi Jibodu, Acting COO of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL); and Alex Nwuba, President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Nigeria (AOPAN).

Other panelists include Dr. Chizoba Anyika, National Publicity Secretary and Deputy Director at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA); Mr. Frank Ogunojemite, President of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics (APFFLON); Dr. Mustapha Azeez, Managing Director of AZ Logistics; and Mr. Frank Kintum, CEO of Transport Day Media and publisher of Transport Day newspaper.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director/CEO of JustAlive Communications Limited, explained that the dialogue is designed to go beyond rhetoric by focusing on generating actionable policy recommendations that will shape Nigeria’s transport landscape.

“This is not just another talkshow,” she emphasized. “We have a clear perspective on what a summit should achieve. Our goal is to facilitate robust discussions that will inform practical transport policy formulation, especially regarding infrastructure and sustainability.”
