Intels Donates N11m Toward Charity Works

Intels Nigeria Ltd., has donated N11 million for upkeep of children of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF) and Hope House Initiative for Children with Special Needs.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations of the company, Mr Isidore Sambol and released to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.
It said the monetary donation was part of Intels’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for both organisations, WOTCLEF and Hope House Initiative, to implement their programmes.

The statement added that WOTCLEF would spend N5 million in providing rehabilitation services to the trafficked, abused, neglected, abandoned and exploited children and youths.
It said Hope House Initiative would spend N6 million to provide home economics laboratory, multi-sensory educational materials and replace obsolete play ground equipment.
According to the statement, the Coordinator of WOTCLEF, Mrs Veronica Umar said the support received from Intels had enabled the organisation to sustain its programmes.
“Through your support, WOTCLEF has continued to offer rehabilitation support services to hundreds of trafficked children and young Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike.
“Our services have made lasting impact not only on the trafficked persons but on the society at large. We have branded Intels Ltd., an ever dependable partner,’’ it quotes Umar as saying.
The statement noted that the Director of Hope House Initiative, Mr Paul Umoh commended Intels for being one of the organisation’s pillars of support over the years, saying that Intels, which handled oil and gas cargo had been partnering with both organisations in the past five years.
It observed that a few months ago, Intels contributed N1 billion toward the rehabilitation of the East-West road in Port Harcourt, out of the N3 billion needed for the job.
Intels was established in 1982 at the Onne Port Complex in Rivers and had since become a major participant in the development of the Oil and Gas Free Zone.
The company has created an integrated logistics solution with an array of facilities and services for the oil and gas industry operators in West Africa.
