The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has urged maritime stakeholders to recommit themselves to deeper impact and stronger collaboration as the industry ushers in the year 2026.
In a New Year message addressed to members of the association and operators across the maritime value chain, MARAN Chairman, Mr. Tunde Ayodele, described 2026 as a year that demands renewed dedication to service delivery, improved operational efficiency and more rigorous sectoral reporting to drive national growth. He noted that the progress recorded in the maritime industry over the past year was the result of collective effort, and encouraged stakeholders to sustain the unity and cooperation that contributed to those achievements.
Ayodele emphasized that enhanced collaboration among regulators, operators, and the media remains vital to positioning Nigeria’s maritime industry as a model within the region. He reiterated MARAN’s commitment to working closely with government agencies, private sector players and industry institutions to strengthen the marine and blue economy space. According to him, such partnerships are essential for building a maritime environment that commands respect and global recognition.
He expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation extended to MARAN throughout 2025, adding that the association looks forward to deeper engagements in the new year. Ayodele encouraged stakeholders to approach 2026 with renewed commitment and a shared vision for a more productive maritime sector.
He wished all maritime operators, professionals, and media practitioners a prosperous New Year, describing 2026 as a year that holds significant promise for greater impact across the industry and the nation at large.
