The President of the National Association of Air Freight Forwarders and Consolidators (NAFFAC), Prince Adeyinka Bakare, has announced the death of the Association’s Patron, Chief Chukwuka Agubama.
Chief Agubama passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a brief illness, according to a confirmation received by the family through his daughter. He was 82 years old, having celebrated his birthday on January 10, 2026, a milestone the Association had recently marked.
In a statement issued on behalf of the national leadership and members of NAFFAC, Prince Bakare described the late Chief Agubama as a father figure, a stabilising influence, and a committed supporter of the Association’s vision for professionalism and growth in the air freight forwarding sector.
“Chief Agubama was not just our Patron in name; he was a pillar of wisdom, guidance, and encouragement to NAFFAC at critical moments in its development. His counsel and moral support will be deeply missed,” Bakare said.
The NAFFAC President extended the Association’s condolences to the Agubama family, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the loss.
“We submit to the will of Almighty God even as we mourn this painful departure. May the soul of our revered Patron find eternal rest, and may God comfort all those he left behind,” the statement added.
NAFFAC said details of the burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
