The re-elected chairman of Apapa chapter of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dr. Fred Ajuzie has promised to bring in new innovation to the chapter of the association adding that the first term was a learning process for him.

Speaking to journalists shortly after he was declared winner of the elections on Monday, Dr Ajuzie said plans have commenced on installation of internet facilities at the newly-acquired chapter secretariat of the association and that stakeholders should expect new innovation at Apapa chapter of NAGAFF.
Ajuzie also promised to engage ICT graduates to run the secretariat for the purpose of ensuring that members are ICT-compliant, saying he plans to take the chapter to the next level.
Elected chairman however stretched a hand of friendship to those who lost saying, “those who contested and lost are still part of NAGAFF and don't forget that I am a sitting chairman, they were also under my umbrella ,and this time around that I have comeback as the sitting chairman, I am going to integrate them in the system and tell them what makes me thick".
He defeated Arthur Igwillo to be returned as chairman having scored 290 votes, Igwillo scored 52 votes.
Dr Ajuzie with 11 others winners will run the affair of the Apapa chapter for the next four years.
Others who won are:Umeadi Azubuike total 346 votes for Ethics, Complaint and Discipline, Nweke Ugochukwu was unopposed for the position of inspectorate and intelligent with 299 votes
Chiedozie Obi had 249 votes for the post Customs Agents Relations Officer (CARO), defeating Oyekelu Ezeomala who had 79 votes.
For Welfare Officer, Joseph Nwekeikwu was elected unopposed with a total of 307 votes.
The post of publicity secretary Bert Okeke was also unopposed with 300 votes.
For the post Treasure,Hyacinth Okeke won with 152 votes against Nnamdi Nwaogaragu with 147 votes, Financial Secretary, David Ikeji was elected unopposed with 350 votes
The post of Secretary was won by Chris Anazo unopposed with 297 votes, while Eze Uchendu emerged as Vice Chairman won with 294 votes to defeat Uzubude Peter Paul who polled 44 votes.
