
The National President of the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNO/WTSSA), Chief Engineer Bob Joseph Yousuo, has extended New Year greetings to the association’s executives, staff, and members, as well as stakeholders across the maritime industry, while expressing optimism about the sector’s prospects in 2026.
In his New Year message, Chief Engineer Yousuo described the collective commitment of stakeholders to maintaining a cordial relationship with NMNO/WTSSA as commendable, noting that such cooperation has contributed significantly to the growth and development of the seafaring sector.
He reaffirmed the position of NMNO/WTSSA as the only recognised officers’ association in the seafaring sector and appreciated the support and collaboration received from industry players over the past year.
Reflecting on 2025, the NMNO/WTSSA President said the year was marked by both challenges and notable achievements, adding that these experiences have strengthened the association and better positioned it to take advantage of opportunities in the coming year.
Chief Engineer Yousuo expressed confidence that 2026 would bring good tidings and prosperity to members and staff of the association, as well as the wider maritime community, while wishing them a peaceful and joyful New Year celebration.
He also prayed for divine blessings upon members, their families, and all stakeholders, urging continued unity and dedication towards advancing professionalism and development within Nigeria’s maritime industry.
