As part of its mandates as the leading manpower development body for the Nigeria maritime industry, the Nigerian Institute of Shipping (NIS) will today (Friday, August 16) flag-off its two-day training programme for Marine Surveyors.
According to the Institute’s registrar,Mr Samson Chima the training will focus on key industry issues and it will be based on best practices in marine survey.
As part of its mandates as the leading manpower development body for the Nigeria maritime industry, the Nigerian Institute of Shipping (NIS) will today (Friday, August 16) flag-off its two-day training programme for Marine Surveyors.
According to the Institute’s registrar,Mr Samson Chima the training will focus on key industry issues and it will be based on best practices in marine survey.
The Institute periodically organises training programmes for staff of organizations involved in maritime and related activities , such as shipping agencies, cargo handling and logistics, port operations etc.
He explained that the training on maritime surveying is specifically designed to refresh the knowledge practicing surveyors so that they can cope with international best practices.
