Leading maritime manpower development institute; Port and Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria (POTEMAN) is set to hold its 2014 continuous mandatory professional training (CMPT) in June as part of its manpower development for members.
POTEMAN also disclosed that the objective of CMPT is to constantly educate members in enhancing and professionally increase their skills in maritime operation.

POTEMAN also disclosed that the objective of CMPT is to constantly educate members in enhancing and professionally increase their skills in maritime operation.
POTEMAN Registrar, Dr. Babatunde Samuel told Shipping Position Daily in Lagos last week that the training is equally a platform for effective networking among members of the institute; to exchange information and ideas, thus carry out proper research about the industry.
The registrar noted that, "it is equally a platform for effective networking among fellows for exchange of information, research and academic driven, promoting professionalism and to alert fellows on the leadership role of the port and terminal industry in the international supply chain
Babatunde also noted that the theme of workshop is: "Imperative of efficient and effective seaport terminal operations in international logistics supply chain practice: public and private perspective".
He said the training will x-ray the importance of port operations, adding that the terminals plays a key role in trade facilitation.
