The Nigeria Customs Service, Seme Command, said it has; seized 1,700 cartons of turkey, valued at N9.5Million.
The command said it also also seized 635 bags of rice.
The Area Comptroller of Customs in-charge of the command, Mr Othman Salleh, said the organisation made the seizures following intelligence reports from security agencies.
“ We were able to seize the illegal goods by deploying ourselves to strategic points. We also worked on intelligence report from security agencies.

“The seizures were made at Gbaji and other locations around the border,'' Salleh said.
He said the command would not tolerate any form of smuggling and would arrest those who tried to violate the law through the importation of contraband.
Salleh said the products would be destroyed because of their perishable nature and urged Nigerians not to invest in wasteful ventures.
