The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed has extended his warmest congratulations to the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi on his historic emergence as Chairperson of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council.
Expectedly, the Corps Marshal eulogized the Comptroller General’s appointment describing it as a clear recognition of the CG’s dedication, visionary leadership, and passion for excellence, which have repositioned the Nigeria Customs Service as a model of professionalism and efficiency in Africa.
He stated inter alia that: “The emergence of CG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as Chairperson of the WCO Council is not only a personal accomplishment but a national pride. It reflects Nigeria’s competence and the confidence the international community reposes in our capacity to contribute meaningfully to global governance in trade and customs management.”
While appreciating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for creating and enabling environment for the agencies to thrive through strategic support and commitment to the realization of their ideals; the Corps Marshal said that the Corps will remain resolute in strengthening ties with sister agencies such as the Nigeria Customs Service to build a safer, more prosperous nation.
