1000 – 1300 LT: Posn: 03:52N – 005:33E, Around 37nm SW of Bayelsa, Nigeria.
Pirates in two speed boats chased and fired upon a vehicle carrier underway. Master raised the alarm and SSAS, mustered all crew and activated the water hoses. After three hours, the pirates abandon the chase. One crew member reported minor injury. Remaining crew safe.
