The management of Transquest Media, publishers of TransQuest monthly magazine is set to hold the 2016 edition of Transport Development Symposium/Lecture/Transport Development Awards.
The ceremony holds on June 4, 2016 at the prestigious Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine; Mr Felix Kumuyi, the event also celebrates the consistency of the highly valued publication by stakeholders in the transport sector as we hinge our stories not only on happenings without bias within the sector, we have also been a tremendous information tool that have contributed to the development of the transport sector in the last nine years”.
The annual Symposium/Lecture will hold under the chairmanship of Assistant Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nseobong Charles Akpabio. Also being expected is the Minister of Transportation; Mr Rotimi Ameachi as Special Guest of Honour, with Col. Hameed Ali, CGC, Nigeria Customs Service, Barrister Hassan Bello, Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigeria Shippers’ Council, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, DG, NIMASA among others as special guests.
The event which comes with the theme: Transport/Maritime Sector: The pros and cons of the evolving change as it affects the revenue drive of the nation, will parade seasoned speakers, such as Prof. Iyiola Oni, Dean, Department of Geography/Transport, UNILAG as the main guest speaker. Others include Prince Olayiwola Shittu, President, ANLCA, Chief Eugene Iweke, Former President, NAGAFF, among others.
The event will also witness an award presentation to different categories of stakeholders.
