The management of Bourbon Inter-Oil Nigeria Limited, led by its Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Magnus Ibe, joined forces with the leadership of the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) to celebrate the birthday of the union’s National President, Engr. Bob Joseph Yousuo.
The event took place in Port Harcourt, bringing together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s maritime industry. The celebration, which saw the attendance of His Royal Highness, King Daniel B. Ngeribara, and other prominent figures such as NMNOWTSSA Secretary General Comrade Aleakhue John Okpono, President, Seafarers’ branch of the Maritime Workers Union; Comrade Francis Bunu, Capt. Cyril Nzekwe, Capt. Dagogo Prince, and other notable Nigeria Seafarers, highlighted the close ties between Bourbon Inter-Oil Nigeria Limited and NMNOWTSSA.
Engr Yousuo, who is also a Chief of Nembe Kingdom and the International Transport Federation’s (ITF) Number 1 African Seafarer, was honored not only for his birthday but also for his relentless dedication to advancing the maritime industry. His leadership has been a cornerstone in fostering collaboration within the sector, driving initiatives that benefit both seafarers and the broader maritime community.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Magnus Ibe emphasized the importance of the ongoing partnership between Bourbon Inter-Oil Nigeria Limited and NMNOWTSSA. He praised Chief Yousuo’s visionary leadership, which has been instrumental in aligning the goals of both organizations toward the growth and development of Nigeria’s maritime sector.
Comrade Aleakhue John Okpono, Secretary General of NMNOWTSSA, echoed these sentiments, describing Engr Yousuo as a “moving train” and “the man who the cap fits,” underscoring his unmatched ability to lead and inspire collaboration across the industry.
