The Nigerian Shippers’ Council has achieved an impressive score of 84.68% in the 2024 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard.
This was contained in a statement issued in Lagos and signed by Shippers’ Council’s head of public relations; Rebecca Adamu.
This ranking, conducted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), places the Council first among agencies under the Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.
In its letter to the Council, the ICPC praised the organization’s conducive work environment, corruption-free systems, and efficient port services that meet global standards.
The Council’s leadership, under Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima was commended for promoting efficiency and transparency in the port system.
The Council’s efforts to modernize port operations have resulted in increased productivity, improved performance, and enhanced competitiveness.
