The remains of former Tranpsort Minister; Chief Ojo Maduekwe is to be committed to mother earth tomorrow; Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Asaga Ohafia, Abia State.
The former minister died on July 29, 2016 in Abuja.
Before tomorrow’s internment, a night of tributes had been organised in Abuja for the late minister and former Secretary of Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A Commendation Service by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, at the National Christian Center, Abuja had also held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, while last Friday, there was a programme titled “Celebration of Mekaria: Tribute to Ojo Maduekwe”, it hled at the Nigeria Air Force Conference Center, Kado, Abuja.
Yesterday, there was aslo a solemn programme called “Life & Times of Ojo Maduekwe”, it held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.
The late minister’s body is expected to depart the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja this morning and arrive at his ancestral home at Isieke, Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State.
There will also be a Court Session by the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) at Judiciary headquarters, Umuahia.
On Saturday, that is tomorrow, there will be a burial service by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, followed by Interment at Ojo Maduekwe Home, Asaga, Ohafia.
On Sunday August 21, there will be an Outing Service at All Saints Presbyterian Church of Nigeria
