The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Multimix Academy, Dr. Obiora Madu has said that exportation sector of the economy constitutes 56% of the nation's Gross Domestic Profit (GDP).
He however made a case for the sector to be properly harnessed.
Obiora said this recently at an event in Lagos even as he added that some export services include outsourcing of legal services.
“Export constitutes almost 56% of Nigeria’s GDP, and need to be exploited seriously. Some export services are, outsourcing of legal services, calls services, consultancy, and education services, amongst others”
Obiora also charged the National Export Promotion Council (NEPC) to embark on an aggressive campaign for the full potential of the services to be taken.
“NEPC needs to embark on an aggressive awareness campaigns for the full potential of Services Exports to be taken advantage of"
"World Trade Organization (WTO) recognizes the importance of export services. These, when disseminated or accessed by exporters, will enhance the mandate of NEPC, engage exporters gainfully and generate more revenue for the government, and people of Nigeria” he said.
