A 36-year old seafarer, Ayiba Tare, was on Tuesday arranged before an Apapa Magistrates court for stealing armoured cable valued at N6million belonging to Capital Oil & Gas Ltd.
The defendant, Tare is facing a two count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, told that the defendant committed the offences at about 3am on January 18 2019 at Capital Oil & Gas Ltd, Olodi Apapa.
Aigbokham told the Court that the armoured cable is valued at N6 million.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offences brought against him.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Joy Ugbomoiko granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
According to the Magistrate, the sureties must be residents of Lagos state with evidence of 3years tax payment to Lagos state government.
The case was adjourned till 21 of February 2019 for mention.
