Two men, Sunday Nwaogwu18 and Chiemeria Odirioha were on Thursday brought before an Apapa magistrates court for stealing a Bajaj Motorcycle in Apapa.
The Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Gabriel Ekundayo told the court that the motorcycle which is valued at N130, 000 belongs to Aminu Muhammad.
He also said that the defendant committed the offences on 15th of April 2019 at Okito street, Ajegunle in Apapa magisterial district.
ASP Gabriel said that the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 287 of the criminal laws of Lagos state 2015.
The defendants who are facing a two count charge on conspiracy and stealing pleaded not guilty to the offences.
The Magistrate, MKO Fadeyi granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one registered surety in like sum.
He also said that the address of the surety will be verified by the court.
The case was adjourned till 13th of June 2019.
