
The Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNO/WTSSA) has congratulated the President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Abi Bunu, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose short time in office has brought notable progress to the union.
In a goodwill message signed by the Secretary General of NMNO/WTSSA, Comrade Aleakhue John Okpono, and issued on behalf of the association’s President, Chief Engr. Bob Joseph Yousuo, members and staff joined in celebrating with the MWUN leader.
The association commended Bunu for his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of MWUN members. It noted that despite being in office for less than a year, his leadership achievements “stand tall,” reflecting exceptional qualities that have earned him the admiration of stakeholders across the maritime sector.
“Our industry is truly blessed to have you as the President General of MWUN,” the message read, applauding his impact and the stability he has brought to the union.
NMNO/WTSSA wished Comrade Bunu a joyful and fulfilling celebration, praying that his new year would usher in good health, divine upliftment, and continued progress for both him and the union under his stewardship.
