The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 39 ocean going vessels laden with various goods are expected between Sept. 29 and Oct. 28, at the Lagos ports.
The NPA’s projection was released after the daily berthing meeting yesterday.
According to the NPA, 21 of the vessels are carrying containers, while 10 others are laden with various food items.
A further breakdown showed that the food items include rice, frozen fish, buckwheat and crude palm oil.

A further breakdown showed that the food items include rice, frozen fish, buckwheat and crude palm oil.
It said that another seven vessels are carrying general cargoes, while one vessel will sail into the port with diesel.
The authority said also that the vessels would sail into Atlas Cove Jetty, the New Oil Jetty, Petroleum Wharf, Bulk Oil Plant, and Single Buoy Mooring among others.
Meanwhile, six vessels carrying petroleum products, including aviation fuel are waiting to berth at the port.
It also said that another five other vessels carrying rice and frozen fish were queuing to berth.
