A group known as ‘Asiwaju Maritime Network’ (AMN) is set to launch a strategic book to guide the new administration towards realising the enormous potentials in the nation’s maritime sector.
The book titled; “Roadmap to Renewed Maritime Hope,” will be launched at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja on Saturday, May 27th, 2023.
‘Roadmap to Renewed Maritime Hope’ is a call to action, a rallying cry for unity, and a testament to the limitless potential that awaits the nation if the possibilities in the maritime industry are unlocked.
According to the author, Mallam Usman Kaoje, the book is an enlightening journey into the possibilities that lie within the Nigerian maritime industry, “it is beckoning us to embrace a long-term vision, leadership commitment, and a renewed sense of confidence. This book encapsulates the collective desire to overcome challenges and stimulate investment and growth, while meeting the unique demands of our vibrant industry.”
He observed that at the forefront of the minds of the AMN is the imperative to decongest Apapa Port and unlock the potential of other major seaports such as Onne, Warri, and Calabar.
“We recognize the need for forward-thinking strategies to modernize our ports, including deepening harbors, expanding berths and docking facilities, and enhancing the accessibility of waterways for the seamless transportation of goods and passengers.”
