The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dayo Mobereola, has called on Christians to use the Easter celebration as a time for sober reflection, spiritual renewal, and recommitment to the core values of Christianity.

In his Easter message, Mobereola said the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ remain powerful symbols of sacrifice, hope, and redemption, urging believers to draw inspiration from these virtues in their daily lives.

He encouraged Christians to renew their faith in God and sustain hope in Nigeria, noting that Easter presents an opportunity for fresh beginnings and a deeper sense of purpose, both individually and collectively.

“The Easter celebration should inspire renewed purpose, fresh beginnings, and continued sacrifice in service to the nation and humanity,” he stated.

The NIMASA boss further urged Nigerians to uphold values such as love, compassion, discipline, empathy, and selflessness, stressing that these principles are essential for fostering patriotism and national development.

According to him, the teachings and example of Jesus Christ provide a moral compass for building a just and progressive society, adding that collective commitment to these ideals will contribute significantly to a safer and more prosperous nation.

Mobereola concluded by calling on all Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to embrace the spirit of Easter and work together toward unity, peace, and sustainable development.
