As preparations intensify for the forthcoming chapter elections of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA),a chairmanship hopeful for the Abuja Airport Chapter, Mr. Solademi Abdulmajid, has officially launched his campaign and unveiled his manifesto in Abuja.

The event attracted notable stakeholders, including representatives of the Customs Area Controller for the FCT Command, the Military Airport Commandant, the Head of Aviation Security, the Head of the Department of State Services, the Divisional Police Officer, and other government agencies. The National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji, was also represented at the occasion.

Addressing members during the campaign flag-off, Abdulmajid, who seeks to lead the Abuja Airport Chapter, pledged to steer the association toward a future rooted in integrity, accountability, and a collective vision of progress. He assured members that his administration would prioritize commitment to duty, foster unity, and promote sustainable growth for all stakeholders.

Unveiling his agenda, Abdulmajid promised to implement an open and transparent administration anchored on integrity, resilience, and inclusive governance. He highlighted his commitment to fostering innovation and adopting emerging technologies to strengthen the chapter’s operations and enhance the benefits for its members.

“My vision is to create an environment where every voice is heard, every idea is valued, and every individual is empowered to contribute to our collective success,” Abdulmajid stated.

Abdulmajid emphasized his dedication to transparency, stating, “I am not desperate to be the ANLCA Chairman, but I am desperate to see the system working effectively again for the growth of the association and to ensure accountability and transparency.

The chairmanship hopeful pledged to invest in the chapter’s human resources, processes, and technology to drive business growth and create opportunities for youth participation. He also promised to strengthen collaboration with the Nigerian Customs Service and other government agencies to streamline operations at the Abuja cargo warehouse.

“I will lead with integrity to revive our policies on members’ welfare, set benchmarks, and meet them as part of our core values,” he said. “Together, we will strive to transform ANLCA into an association admired for its excellence, transparency, and efficiency.”

Abdulmajid received a strong endorsement from a former Chairman of the Abuja Airport Chapter, Abdulsalam Abdulraheem, who described him as exceptionally qualified for the role.

“For a chairman, his license must not be less than five years old. Abdulmajid’s license is over 10 years old, and he is more than qualified,” Abdulsalam said. “With a Master’s degree and exceptional human relations skills, Abdulmajid is well-equipped to lead this chapter.”
