The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Council has elected Mr. Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco of the Republic of Panama, as next Secretary-General of the organisation.
The appointment is for an initial four-year term, which begins on January 1, 2024, subject to the IMO Assembly’s approval.
