The Comptroller-General Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has inaugurated the leadership of four Nigeria Customs Service-owned companies at the Customs Headquarters in Abuja.
The companies include Customs Service Technical & Hanger Services Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Training & Hotels Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Nigeria Customs Broadcast Network Limited.
Adeniyi emphasized that registering these companies is part of management’s agenda to enhance the well-being of officers, recognizing their crucial role in revenue generation and implementing government fiscal policies. He highlighted the diverse nature of the businesses, covering aviation services, healthcare, and broadcasting.
Board members were selected from relevant departments, with Officers and representatives from the Ministry of Finance well-acquainted with managing the companies. Adeniyi expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated board would guide the companies to stability and profitability, drawing inspiration from other successful government ventures.
The appointed chairs for the companies are: ACG AO Alajogun for Nigeria Customs Services’ Technical and Hanger Service Limited, ACG Dappa-Williams for Nigeria Customs Service Training and Hotels Limited, ACG Ibrahim Alfa for Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Comptroller Kamal Muhammad for Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network Limited.
Representatives from the Ministry of Finance are to serve as Members, while representatives from the Directorate of Legal Services department of the service will be the Secretaries. Adeniyi urged the board members to ensure effective management, emphasizing their responsibility and pledging continuous support and guidance.
