Even as Christians celebrate Easter, the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has urged faithful to imbibe the exemplary life of Jesus Christ, which includes showing love and forgiving one another.
President -General of the union; Comrade Adewale Adeyanju in a statement made available to our correspondent, congratulated Christians on the Easter celebrations, which is in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Adeyanju noted that it is only when we live righteously as Christians that we can accommodate ourselves using Christ as a role model of peace and a symbol of love, who did not segregate among all men while on earth.
While greeting Christians and leaders of Churches in the country, Comrade Adeyanju re- emphasised that as Christians, we must at all times be our brothers’ keepers in all situations no matter our descent, tribe, region or political affiliation putting into account that we are all one in the likeness of God’s image and so we must allow the spirit of the resurrection of Christ be our guide for that is the reason for the Easter celebration.
