The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has announced the death of its Chief Accountant; Comrade Timothy Olorunsola.
The loss was contained in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the union’s President General, Comrade Adeyanju Adewale.
Comrade Timothy Olorunsola reportedly died on Wednesday in Lagos.
The late Chief Accountant hailed from Ondo state. He joined the union as clerical account officer with the then-autonomous union of Nigerian Ports Authority, which was later amalgamated as a branch of MWUN.
The late Olorunsola rose through the ranks to attain the prestigious position of Chief Accountant of the union.
According to the MWUN statement, Olorunsola, until his death, served the union diligently, faithfully and in total commitment to duty.
The union also prayed for the repose of his soul and pray that God grants the family and the union the fortitude to bear the loss.
